Can-Med is a proud sponsor of the 2009 Prostate Cancer Motorcycle Ride for Dad. The Can-Med Research team is seen here posing with Dr. Pommerville, Director of Research. Dr. Pommerville will be participating in upcoming media activities to support the Ride and the Can-Med Research Team will be volunteering to support this fantastic initiative on Ride Day (Sunday, May 24th, 2009). “We are pleased and honoured to work with the community to join forces in the fight against prostate cancer” said Dr. Pommerville upon presentation of a cheque for $500.

Can-Med is a co-organizer of Victoria’s bi-annual clinical research education symposiums held at the Royal Jubilee Hospital. Working with SOCRA (the Society for Clinical Research Associates) and the Vancouver Island Health Authority, the organizing team have implemented a regular series of high quality continuing education initiatives bringing together members of the clinical research community on Vancouver Island and the lower mainland. Can-Med is dedicated to the health of our clinical trial subjects as well as our staff!  On Sunday, April 26th, 2009 Can-Med’s “Clinical Trial Blazers” will be participating in the Victoria Times Colonist 10K Run! Although we may blaze the trail by walking as opposed to running, we are committed to completing the full 10K to raise funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation (BC and Yukon) and the Raise a Reader program!
