The urinary tract consists of the ureters, bladders and urethra in both males and females. The urinary system is also called the excretory system, it is the organ system that produces, stores and eliminates urine from the body. The ureters are the ducts that carry urine from the kidneys to the bladder, they are muscular tubes that are 25 to 30 cm long in adults. The bladder is a hollow hollow muscular organ shaped like a balloon that stores urine; it swells into a round shape when it is full and gets smaller when empty. Many diseases and conditions may affect the urinary tract and male reproductive organs.
